Our Finances

Principles

The finances of the church are provided by its members and other donors and collected in the name of the Lord. The financial responsibilities associated with handling the Lord’s money are not to be taken lightly. FCF, therefore sets down the following principles

  1. We will not use fear, hype or promise a financial return to raise money. We will emphasize the blessings and results that the money will be used to bring.
  2. FCF will make a full account to its membership of how the money has been disbursed on a quarterly basis. This will be done both verbally and in writing.
  3. All members of the Elder board who are compensated by the church will fully disclose all personal income streams

Current Financial situation

As of Dec 16th, 2009, we have $18,837.90  in the bank.

Since our last update on May 31st, we have taken in $14,574.71 and spent $9993.53 for a net increase of $4581.18.

We will provide a detailed summary later, however some of the key expenses were:

  • House Expenses  $3000+  We relocated to a larger house and this required us to purchase appliances, air conditioning units, and other expenses related to making it livable.   We hold assets of some value.
  • Intake Expenses:  We brought someone back to the house  who owned nothing but the shirt on his back.   Helping him get his life going so far has cost around $1000.
  • Group Events and Meals:  We took a major trip to a conference in August.  This combined with other group activities has cost around $1000
  • Resources and Technology:  We have purchased various books and curricula to use for ministry.  We also bought a large white board for the Bible School and renewed our website.  These expenses are around $1300
  • Ministry Trip:  $500.  We took a ministry trip to help a man in GA with his marriage.

We’ve seen a real transformation happen in the lives of the people we’ve been working with through these expenses.
